We are lucky to live in an age where healthcare startups are seriously working to change the world and how we behave with care.
If we look at patient side of healthcare, there used to be so many inefficiencies that shouldn’t be there and appear to be a result of a lack in technology. For example, how nuts is it that we have to go to see a doctor when we feel something is wrong?
We as non-physicians are terrible at judging our own health compared to an experienced physican or AI, since we don’t have any expertise in the field. Often when we go see a doctor, it’s already too late.
Instead, we should be called in when there are abnormalities in our health vitals. For the benefit of everyone, new healthcare startups are entering the industry and working to make the health(care) side of human life a lot better.
In this article, we’ll look at some of those. I’ll refrain from listing any potential venture-backed funding rounds since that is constantly updated, so this list will be outdated before I’m done writing it.
I’ve classified these startups based on if they had venture-capitalist funding. The tricky part is that not all of them continued to raise more from VC investors, some took funding early on but then continued with private investments not classified to the outside world and that makes it more challenging to understand how much they’ve really grown and what their true size is.
The big list of healthcare startups worldwide
Here is the big list of startups I found using healthcare keywords. It doesn’t cover all the startups out there but as many as I could find that are still active. If you are interested in filtering or sorting the list in a certain way, let me know by sending an email or leaving a comment below.
